Talso (continent)

Talso is second largest continent on Synergeio and the homeland for much of humanity. Name after one of the Titans believed to have created Humanity, it is a land of fractal rocky peninsulas, rolling hills of open grassland, rocky mountains, and deep forests.  The Great War has left much of Talso a blasted no-man’s land unfit for life. The land itself can be split into a six major regions.

    The Gate is a large island at the mouth of the Quenching Sea and acts as the barrier between the Sea and the Erebus Ocean. The Gatehouse Straits are a nexus of trade and the site of many, many wars. Do to its strategic location it has be invaded and occupied many time over its history.

    The Western Quarter is a massive peninsula separated from the rest of Talso by tall mountains and is noted for it wide open areas field and tall coastal cliffs. The Western Quarter has often been seen an the heart of Talsoen Civilisation birthing both one its most famous empires and the institution of democracy.

    Central Talso makes up bulk of the settled continent with a wide variety of temperate and slightly cold environments.  Nations have risen and fall in these land for thousands of years and were often are the victims of coastal raids and nomadic incursions from the Gray Hills and invitations from the Western Quarter. The hunt for Ichor and the Great War have reduced much the region into a wasteland

The Gray Hill, a cold north mountain range home to both raider empires and hermit kingdoms.

    Meilen is a long, rocky peninsula the reaches into the Quenching Sea known for its sunny, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The land is well known both for its mercenary kingdoms as well as being the birthplace of the Age of Reason and the rise of alchemy.

    The Eastern Expanse is is the largest region in Talso composed mostly of wide open tundra with powerful, by mostly isolated nation on its eastern coast. 

Quenching Sea

The Quenching Sea is the name of the long, narrow body of water between Talso and the Forgelands. While small compared to the Erebus, the Quenching Sea as a long and full history of trade and naval warfare, having been the most sail body of water in modern history.

Forgelands (continent)

The Forgelands is the largest continent on Synergeio, l just south of Quenching Sea. The land is split between three main areas, the Northern Crescent, the Iron Sea, and the Frozen South.

    The Northern Crescent is the lands between the Quenching Sea and the Redwall Mountains. That is noted for it dry scrublands and fertile river valleys. While a part of the Forgelands the people in the crescent see themself as more belonging to Talso then the south lands of the forge.

    The Iron Sea is a massive desert of iron sand, red rivers, boiling swamps, and active volcanos. The human settlements of this harsh land are often built on islands of fertile land that surrounded the more dormant volcanoes.  The Iron Sea is the homeland of the Slagborn.    

    The Frozen South lays at the south most tip of the foreland and is a land plagued by constant ice and storms.

Erebusian Ocean

The Erebusian Ocean is the Great body of water that covers most of the known world. While some would argue that the Erebus is in fact two oceans most consider this distinction to be solely academic as no one sails past the Mists. The Erebus is home to many island nations and colonies of the great Talsoen empires
